What is Depression Therapy?

Depression therapy is a collaborative process where you explore emotional struggles in a safe and supportive environment. It’s not about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you understand your symptoms, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and learn coping strategies that support long-term wellness.

Dr. Elliott offers therapy for:

  • Major Depressive Disorder

  • Persistent depressive symptoms

  • Postpartum depression

  • Depression related to trauma or loss

  • Teen or adolescent depression

  • Co-occurring anxiety and depression

  • Low self-esteem or hopelessness

What Depression can look like?

Depression doesn’t always look like deep sadness. You may be experiencing:

  • Ongoing fatigue or low energy

  • Difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much

  • Feeling numb, irritable, or emotionally flat

  • Negative self-talk or hopelessness

  • Trouble concentrating or making decisions

  • Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy

  • Withdrawing from people or daily routines

  • Thoughts of worthlessness or self-blame

You don’t need to hit a “breaking point” to seek therapy. Reaching out early can make a meaningful difference in your ability to recover and regain balance.
