What is Individual Therapy?
Individual therapy is a collaborative process. During your first few sessions, Dr. Elliott will work with you to identify the specific concerns or goals you'd like to address. Therapy sessions are tailored to meet your unique needs and may focus on topics such as:
Managing anxiety or chronic stress
Working through unresolved trauma or grief
Addressing low self-esteem or identity challenges
Coping with life transitions such as divorce, relocation, or career change
Improving emotional regulation and communication
Dr. Elliott draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based interventions.She has completed formal training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and integrates a blend of Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Humanistic approaches to best meet the unique needs of each client. Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are available both in-person and via telehealth for clients located throughout New Jersey.

During the initial intake appointment, we will discuss the factors that led you to seeking therapy as well as some relevant background information. I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience and it is important for both parties to discuss the goals to be worked on together.

I am an Out-of-Network provider. Upon request, I can provide with you session invoices and billing statements with all information required for insurance reimbursement if your insurance provides Out-Of-Network Coverage.
